Harry, 36, and Meghan, 40, have already scored lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify, “but it’s clear they have higher ambitions,” spills the source, who says the upstarts are eager to hook up with power players to further raise their profile.

As OK! previously reported, the couple signed a profitable multi-year deal with Netflix — which will pay them to make documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming — in September 2020.
Meanwhile, several U.K. musicians were furious with Spotify after the streaming giant signed an estimated $25 million deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Harrison Rhys told Daily Star at the time, “I believe what Spotify have done is unethical, we are only being paid £0.0038 [about half a cent] per stream but they are able to pay out what is probably a multimillion-dollar fee to Harry and Meghan.”

Harry reportedly also received a huge chunk of change in advance of his upcoming memoir, which promises to cover his “lifetime in the public eye”, to his private life as a husband and father to Archie, 2, and 2-month-old daughter Lilibet.

While newer names are expected to know their place in the pecking order, Harry and Meghan “don’t feel they have to bow down to anyone,” the source adds. “They think they can just waltz into town and throw their weight around, but that’s not how things are done!”
