One of the special guests the sisters were joined by was illustrator Deanna First, who captured the fun moments from the day on paper.

The daughters of David Foster have moved from their reality TV parody days into the world of fashion, and in particular, have taken on a more sustainable approach to fast fashion.

“We don’t want to spend $10,000 on an outfit,” Erin told Grazia. “We’ve always wanted to spend less but still be able to look nice and wear something cute that a girlfriend will ask where we bought it. And so a big inspiration behind the line is affordable things that are also really good quality.”

“We’ve said from the beginning of this, we’re willing to take a smaller margin for ourselves if the price point can be more affordable and the quality be really high,” she explained.

Favorite Daughter pieces — especially the masked hoodie outfit — have been described as a “product of the time that we’re all living in” by Erin. The launch also showcased some of their favorite pieces from the collection such as their cashmere “Favorite Pant” and “The Breakup” blazer and dress combo.

Like all businesses, the pandemic hit the sisters’ plans. While the project began before the coronavirus pandemic changed the global landscape, they found a way for their brand to adapt and survive in unprecedented times.

Last year, the duo teamed up with Joe’s Jeans for a capsule collection dubbed “Favorite Daughter for Joe’s.” The collection included their favorite fitting jeans; The Sara, super high-rise skinny jeans, and The Erin, a high-rise straight fit jeans. Both pairs came in three washes. They also curated sportswear and the “perfect cargo pant.”

To bring their vision to life, Erin and Sara — along with their design director, Carla Calvelo — and their younger sibling, Jordan Foster, decided on a partnership with Centric Brands.
