As OK! previously reported, the Lucy star sued Disney last month, alleging the studio breached her contract by releasing Black Widow in theaters and their streaming service Disney+ simultaneously.

She claimed she was screwed out of millions of dollars by making the Marvel film available to purchase on the streaming service, since her compensation for the film was tied to “box office receipts.” Meaning the more money the film makes in theaters, the more bonus checks she would receive.

Disney doubled down on their decision and dismissed Johansson’s suit, saying “there is no merit whatsoever” to the complaint. They slammed the actress’ breach of contract lawsuit for showing “callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” reported Fox Business.
