Kutcher explained that when he and tied the knot and had children, the 37-year-old “basically encouraged that it was not a smart family decision to be heading into space when we have young children.” Kutcher then sold his ticket back to Virgin Galactic.

The couple starred in That 70s Show together before they got hitched in 2015. They share children, Wyatt, 6, and Dimitri, 4.

Earlier this month, Branson and his crew successfully made a suborbital space journey. While, on Tuesday, July 20, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also made the trip.

Bezos became the richest person to go to space and his ship reached 12 miles higher than Branson’s at 62 miles above Earth to what is known as the Kármán line in the ten-minute journey while Branson’s flew approximately 50 miles above Earth, CNN noted.

Virgin Galactic reportedly intends on carrying out another test flight before it starts flying paying customers to space. More than 600 people have reportedly reserved tickets which range from $200,000 to $250,000 and they are believed to reopen ticket sales in the near future at a higher price. According to Branson’s blog at the time, Kutcher was the 500th person to buy a ticket.
