Dababy is finding himself in some hot water. The “My Oh My” rapper was allegedly involved in a South Beach, Miami shooting that took place on Monday night, May 31st, leaving two and .

According the Miami Beach Police Department, the “Rockstar” musician and “several possible subjects” have been detained. There has been no word on the identities of the shooting victims.

Allegedly, the incident, that went down around 11:30 p.m. on Monday near the corner of Ocean Drive and First Street, revolved around “an issue with people right next to them [DaBaby and his crew] in the car.”

The “Levitating” rapper and his crew were traveling in a caravan of around six SUVs and “either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight. Rumor has it that DaBaby and 10 to 12 members of his entourage have been detained by police” to which the Miami Beach Police department later confirmed.

Multiple people surrounding the area made frantic calls to 911 and reported hearing rounds of gunshots. “I thought I heard like, it might have been a gun battle because it was like, ‘boom, boom, boom, boom boom’, just nonstop. Then it died out, and like five minutes later, again, ‘boom, boom, boom, boom’” a South Beach resident described.

When Police arrived on the scene, there were two gun shot victims. One with injuries to the leg and the other one with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Both were immediately rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

According to reports, detectives shut down the MacArthur Causeway to search for the shooter.

This is not the musician’s first run in with the law. Back in 2019, he was was found guilty of “carrying a concealed gun” and sentenced to a year of probation following a fatal shooting at a Walmart in Huntersville, North Carolina but a judge claimed that the rap superstar “acted in self defense.” Most recently he was arrested in January of this year for gun possession in Beverly Hills.

This unfortunate event comes as the 29 year-old star is riding high on a wave of success. The rapper was named the most-streamed rapper on Spotify per month, overtaking Drake. He also took home Top Rap Song for his Hot 100 topper “Rockstar” with Roddy Ricch at the Billboard Music Awards last week.
