A shining bright has left this earth. Former Of star was struck by a car and killed while riding his bike. The actor was only 32 years-old.

Clark is best known for his portrayal of Freddy “Spazzy McGee” Jones, the talented drummer of the band in the beloved early 2000’s film School Of Rock where he starred alongside Jack Black.

The former child star was taking a ride on his bike in Chicago when he was hit by an on coming vehicle. He was later pronounced one hour after arriving at the hospital.

The person driving the car was a 20-year-old female who has been issued citations, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

Clark was only 12 years old when he starred in the hit musical film. His costar Jack Black posted a sweet tribute to the musician on Instagram writing “Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”

The drummer, who ended up getting his breakout role in the hit film when attending an audition with a friend, is survived by his mother, Alison Clark, who said her son was a “raw talent” with a “heart of gold.”

When talking about her musically gifted son, she revealed that although he was most known for his acting, music is where he really was at his best since he was a small child. At age three she could hear him “hitting pots and pans in the basement.” “He just kind of shined,” she said.

School Of Rock went on to be the highest grossing music-themed comedy of all time until it was overtaken by Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015.
