Rivers resided in her exquisite Manhattan home for 28 years, with her first buying it one year after husband Edgar Rosenberg’s death in 1987. She lived in the luxurious home up until she died at 81 in 2014.
The stunning abode, which Rivers described as: “What Marie Antoinette would have done, if she had money,” was purchased the same year Rivers died at $28 million by a Middle Eastern buyer.

And while the home appears to be everything a discerning buyer could want and more, the home apparently has a quirk that the late comedian wasn’t fond of: a ghost named Mrs. Spencer, who was believed to be a former owner, who haunts new residents.

According to Rivers, the ghost bit the heads off the cherubs of her chandelier in one of her formal rooms, which have 23 ft. ceilings.
Regardless, the fashionable home with Central Park views is a masterpiece.
