Nick Carter Returns Home From Hospital With Newborn Baby After Complications – .

The Backstreet Boys alum tweeted on Monday, April 26, that he and wife Lauren Kitt Carter returned back home with their bundle of joy following their extended stay at the hospital.

“Ok everyone, I wanted to let you know that finally, we are home safe and sound. Baby is doing so much better,” the ecstatic dad shared. “I’m going to share a little picture with you really soon. Thank you again for all your love.”

The positive news comes after the couple — who wed in 2014 and share son Odin Reign, 5, and daughter Saoirse Reign, 1 — welcomed their third child together on Wednesday, April 21. 

“We are proud to announce that our baby has officially arrived,” the 41-year-old tweeted at the time. “But as a parent knows all to very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it. We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.”

“Yes I’m a believer. I ask god to give us strength to protect mommy and baby. 🙏🏻 #fatherhood #prayers,” Nick captioned a photo of himself in hospital scrubs with his eyes closed.

Luckily, he revealed that things were “better” on Friday, April 23, adding that they will stay in the hospital for another night to monitor the situation.

On Saturday, April 24, Nick updated his followers on their baby’s status while thanking his fans for their well wishes. “Just got a chance to read your comments and we are so grateful for your love and caring thoughts,” he wrote. “Things are improving. Unfortunately we had to stay another night in the hospital. Can’t wait for all of you to meet the baby.”

Back in January, the Carters candidly shared their thoughts on having another child after suffering multiple miscarriages throughout the years. Nick and Lauren admitted that the newest addition to the family was a complete “surprise,” although they couldn’t be happier.

Lauren explained that she was “fully set on having two children.” In fact, OK! reported she didn’t even know she was pregnant until she was about five-and-a-half months along, as she “didn’t have any symptoms; I didn’t have anything indicating that I was pregnant,” Lauren explained.

The unexpected addition was met with excitement, with Carter saying: “With everything that 2020 has given to the entire world, I look at it as a blessing. We love our two children and we pride ourselves on being great parents.”
