According to Antron’s Facebook page, Scottie’s son attended Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Ga.

Antron — who was born on December 29, 1987, and was the eldest of Scottie’s eight children — played basketball for Texas A&M International and South Georgia Technical College (SGTC). In 2013, he signed with the Upstate Heat team of the World Basketball Association, Amo Mama reported.

SGTC paid tribute to their former player after the heartbreaking news made headlines. “The Jets family was saddened to learn of the death of one of our former players, Antron Pippen,” their statement read. “His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers. Antron was a Jet during the 2006-2007 season. #Jetfamily #SGTCJets.”

While keeping a low profile on social media, Antron spent his time playing basketball for a local team in Atlanta, Marie Claire reported in January, where he also worked as a machine technician at Alcon Laboratories.

While it is unclear what kind of relationship Antron had with Scottie’s second wife, Larsa Pippen, whom Scottie is estranged from, Larsa took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late athlete. The former flames — who ended their 20 year relationship in 2018 — share sons Scotty Jr., Preston and Justin as well as daughter Sophia.

Antron also had half-sisters, Taylor (whose twin died nine days after birth) and Sierra, both 26 and from different ex-girlfriends of Scottie’s.
