“No one in her circle has seen Mary-Kate this happy in many, many , and they owe it to John,” says the insider.

According to the source, Cooper, 45, is very much Olsen’s type. “He’s a self-starter, an Ivy League grad, a CEO of his own tech company and he isn’t impressed with fame or the limelight, which is very important to an ultra-private person like Mary-Kate,” spills the source. “He’s also a licensed pilot and he knows his way around the kitchen, having gone to the French Culinary Institute.”

As previously reported, Olsen decided to end things with Sarkozy when he invited his ex-wife, Charlotte Bernard, to move into their $5 million Bridgehampton, N.Y., mansion. “Olivier was concerned for the safety of his family in New York during the pandemic. He insisted to Mary-Kate that he wanted to bring his ex-wife, their kids, and his mother from the city to their Bridgehampton home,” a source had told Page Six at the time.
