After Naya Rivera’s , George Rivera, accused Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan of not a for her , Josey, like they promised, quickly came online to clear the air. 

“Everyone needs to know what Murphy really did … or didn’t do !!! I’m about to blow up this story …. and make sure he’s knows that I know ….” George responded to a tweet from July when a fan commended on the team for pledging to make the fund.

“Broken Promises….. fake outrage …. hollow gestures ….. no phone call,” he told another fan. 

Murphy quickly responded to George’s allegations.

“Naya always made sure that Santana’s love for Brittany was expressed with dignity, strength and with pure intentions,” Murphey, Falchuk and Brennan wrote after Naya’s tragic passing. 

“Naya was always moved by the girls who reached out to her to tell her how much Santana and Brittany’s love affected them. Naya’s obligation to them—  and to all of her fans—  was obvious. She had the rare combination of humility and endless confidence in her talent.”

The actress, who was best known for her role as Santana Lopez on the show, lost her life in July 2020 in a drowning incident at Lake Piru, Calif. Josey survived the accident. 


Josey’s father, Ryan Dorsey, who is currently raising the 5-year-old with Naya’s sister, Nickayela Rivera, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of his son against Ventura County, OK! previously reported.
