Crikey! Bindi Irwin and her , Robert, are both passionate conservationists, but she’s worried sick that his wildlife encounters are getting too close for comfort, an insider tells OK!.

On January 6, , 17, posted a video on Instagram showing his terrifying brush with a giant crocodile that almost bit off his arm during a feeding session at the family’s Australia Zoo.

The siblings’ legendary dad, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, died in 2006 after being pierced in the heart by a giant stingray, “and Bindi Robert could meet a similar fate if he’s not careful,” adds the insider. “But Robert just thinks Bindi is overreacting and being bossy. Besides, his daredevil stunts are great for business!” 

The zoologist already has enough on her plate, as she and husband Chandler Powell are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in just a few months.

Meanwhile, the star hasn’t stopped working to expand the family’s business. During the pandemic when the zoo had to close, Bindi rose to the occasion and managed to pay the bills, which included shelling out $80,000 per week to feed the 1,200 in the zoo, many of whom are endangered.

“She has a unique entrepreneurial sense all her own,” a source shared. “Steve would be so proud of the woman she’s become.”

“There’s also talk that Bindi is looking to expand the Australia Zoo franchise by opening new animal centers in Eugene, Ore., which is [her mom] Terri’s hometown, and in Florida,” the source claimed, adding that the newlyweds may also be close to inking a deal to produce and star in their own reality show.
