While Dancing With the Stars was officially renewed for a 29th season on May 21, 2020, ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke and Rob Mills, ABC Entertainment’s senior VP of alternative series, specials and late-night programming, previously hinted that the season may be delayed until December due to the global pandemic.
But, Good Morning America revealed the list of the upcoming season, which will premiere on Monday, Sept. 14. And, there are quite a few surprise celebrity cast members!
Season 29 of Dancing With the Stars will star: Netflix’s Cheer star/head coach Monica Aldama, Tiger King‘s Carole Baskin (we are most excited for this casting!), Bachelor alum Kaitlyn Bristowe, former NFL player Vernon Davis, soap actress Anne Heche, Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson, actress Justina Machado, The Real host Jeannie Mai, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, actor Jesse Metcalfe, Nelly, former NBA star Charles Oakley, MTV’s Catfish host Nev Schulman, actress Chrishell Stause, and former Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir.
