Ashley released her third studio album in May.
After nearly a decade since the release of her pop album Guilty Pleasures, the singer-songwriter delivered Symptoms, an emotionally charged, extremely personal set of songs about the star’s own journey to self-discovery. “This record is such a personal record for me — it’s a piece of me and I’m excited to share it with the world,” she told Forbes ahead of the release.
She continued, “This experience has been a lot of fun and I’ve really gotten to know myself as an artist. It was also very healing for me. This album is a piece of me, versus when I was younger, I didn’t know who I was as an artist.”
Before the release of her album, Ashley was gaining popularity in the YouTube world. She would perform live renditions of songs with her husband, Christopher French, and invite friends, such as Vanessa Hudgens, to join in. Her Ex’s and Oh’s video featuring Baby V gave us life!
