Dair was, as the name would suggest, a real dare in the writers’ room and though the creative risk was…interesting, Blair and Dan had to get, like, black-out wasted to enjoy sex with each other. Did you notice that as they continued to date each other, both of their hairstyles got more and more heinous? No, no, no. If they had set the foundation for Dair maybe a little earlier, I could’ve been sold on it, but Dan seemed incredulous about being in love with someone he once described as “everything he hates about the Upper East Side, “distilled into one 95-pound, doe-eyed, bon-mot-tossing, label-whoring package of girly evil.”
As a 2018 analysis will go on to show, the whole Chair relationship was drama and toxicity.
