If you’re a fan of Big Brother, you know you should never underestimate a contestant. JC Mounduix is the underdog of Season 20 — and he’s this close to winning the whole competition.

The 28-year-old dancer almost didn’t make it past the first few weeks of the competition when he was caught up in scandal in the Big Brother house. JC was accused of inappropriate conduct after he was shown on the live feed attempting to touch contestant’s private parts with an ice cream scooper.

He was also caught on camera kissing houseguest Tyler Crispen while he was sleeping. At the time, CBS released a statement, saying, “The expression of viewer concerns regarding JC Mounduix’s behavior was reviewed immediately. All video was examined in its entirety. We spoke with all three of the houseguests separately in detail about the incidents. Tyler and Haleigh explained to producers that they in no way felt threatened, unsafe, or sexually harassed. If there was any indication from our Houseguests of sexual misconduct, we and CBS would have taken immediate action. The safety and security of our houseguests is and will continue to be our top priority.”

The 4-foot-8-inch TV star has since put those scandals behind him, and just won his first Head of Household competition — securing his place in the Final 3. So, what else should you know about JC, who just might win BB20?

He was born in Cuba.

JC might reside in West Hollywood currently, but he is originally from the island country. “I was born in Cuba while my parents were living there for work. (They’re from Spain, originally),” he said in his CBS bio. He also grew up in Miami, which explains why his favorite past houseguest is previous winner Josh Martinez.

“He represents the kind of people I grew up with. Made me feel at home. I am glad he won,” he explained.

He was almost fired during a performance.

JC is no stranger to controversy. One fun fact he likes to share about himself is that he was almost fired during a dance performance. This might explain why he describes himself as “outgoing, honest, and eccentric.”

Don’t make fun of his height.

“I have a very short fuse when it comes to my height,” JC said (pun intended). He also admitted to lying about his height — and adding two inches when asked. However, he planned to use his stature to his advantage in the game.

“I am going to be the sweetest small guy that everyone would want to hug and kiss,” he added of his strategy. Looks like it’s working…

He LOVES going to the gym.

His go-to items in the house? JC lists vitamins and Melatonin as his must-haves. Also, his favorite activities include going to the gym, theme parks, and watching movies.

It’s no surprise he’s always caught flexing on the CBS reality show.

Watch JC on Big Brother on Wednesday (8 p.m.), Thursdays (9 p.m.), and Sundays (8 p.m.) on CBS.
