As we all know, the sexual misconduct scandal has plagued Hollywood irrevocably over the last few months.
But luckily it also created more of a culture where people feel freer to come forward if they have felt victimised in a sexual context.
The women of Hollywood have rallied around each other and supported those who have spoken out on their own personal stories of sexual harassment and assault.
However, one of the most notorious men in Hollywood, Woody Allen, has, much to many people’s dismay, never been charged with a sex crime. Namely for allegedly sexually abusing his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, when she was just seven years old.
Allen is also known for marrying another of his adopted daughters in 1997, Soon-Yi Previn.
And yet in spite of the very serious allegations, at a Los Angeles Times roundtable interview, Kate Winslet had no qualms about praising Allen, the man who happened to be the director of her new movie Wonder Wheel.
Winslet spoke with admiration for the critically acclaimed director that she felt “immensely privileged” to work with him on her latest movie.
Incredibly, she specifically praised Allen from the perspective of a female in Hollywood stating that “he’s obviously known for having created extraordinary roles, very powerful, complicated roles for women for many, many, many years.”
And let me tell you, her very generous praise for the movie mogul clearly didn’t sit well with one of the other actresses at the table, Margot Robbie.
The Suicide Squad actress throws Winslet an unmistakable glare as she gushes over the controversial film director.

Dylan Farrow also spoke out on Twitter regarding the release of Allen’s latest movie. Her tweets are powerful, emotional and a clear reason why we need change:
