Eminem has never been one to keep his opinions to himself. He has always used his lyrics to express his thoughts about others, including some very public figures.

Now, with his latest album, Revival, Eminem is still throwing punches at those he really doesn’t like. This time, the main target of his scathing raps is none other than President Donald Trump. It seems Eminem has turned his thoughts to politics and he is not holding back!

In an interview with Vulture, Eminem says it was Trump’s campaign speech where he accused Mexicans of being criminals, drug dealers, and rapists that sent him over the edge.

“He makes my blood boil. I can’t even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed out,” Eminem said.

“All jokes aside, all punchlines aside, I’m trying to get a message out there about him. I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it’s not going to be that with him in charge.”

Eminem says he isn’t concerned with his move to include more political tracks on his album. He reveals that there is a mix of more serious content alongside songs that show off more of his trademark humorous style.

He reveals that it’s all about balance. After all, a lot can still be said through humor. “People who know my music can tell when I’m joking around and when I’m being honest about a subject,” Eminem told Vulture.

“I’m not worried about whether people like what I say politically,” he says. “I just want to know they’re listening. As long as I have people’s ears, I have to say what I think is right.”

It’s a good thing Eminem isn’t worried because his fans are absolutely loving, not just the new album, but specifically his disses toward Donald Trump.

One fan tweeted: “Ok Eminem’s new album is straight up [flame emojis] and ‘Like Home’ is straight shade at Trump and it is G L O R I O U S”.

Another Tweet read: “Eminem apologized to Kim, attacked Trump and racism, addressed police killings, told the world what it feels like to be black, and tried to bring America together with an album! Say what y’all want, but he’s #LEGENDARY!”

While reviews have generally been mixed for Revival and not everyone is happy about Eminem’s dislike of the US President, the new album is currently on track for a number one debut on the Billboard Hot 200 chart.

Industry forecasters predict that Revival will become Eminem’s eighth consecutive album to have a debut at number one.

While the accolades keep pouring in on social media, there is one person Eminem has yet to hear from. Donald Trump, who is no stranger to Twitter, has so far tweeted nothing at all in response to the album’s release.

Eminem says he is prepared for when Trump does decide to respond and has ideas for what to say back. Though he isn’t letting his potential responses be known just yet:

“I’m not going to give any away now, but I’ve got lines ready if he says something about me. I get almost flustered thinking about him — that’s how angry he makes me. The people that support him are the people he cares about the least and they don’t even realize it.”

While the President has yet to respond to Eminem’s lyrics, some of Trump’s family members have tweeted responses. They ended up just sounding a bit silly, like when Donald Trump Jr. created the hashtag #WillTheRealLoserPleaseStandUp.

Eminem’s fans don’t seem to care though. Love him or hate him, it’s undeniable that Eminem has quite a lot of influence. His album just came out on December 15th and is already a top seller for the week.
