Believed abducted by unknown person from Panamount Boulevard in city’s northwest

Calgary police have issued an Amber Alert for a five-year-old girl they believe has been abducted, after her mother was found dead.

Taliyah Leigh Marsman is described as mixed-race with a slim build, brown curly hair and brown eyes.
No description of her clothing was immediately available.
Police say the girl is believed to have been abducted by an unknown person from the 1000 block of Panamount Boulevard in the northwest Calgary neighbourhood of Panorama Hills.
Marsman’s mother was found dead by police in their home on Monday evening, officials said in a statement.
Her death is considered suspicious. Police were called to the home by family members who had been unable to reach her.
A vehicle police said may have been connected to the disappearance has been found, but the girl is still missing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact their police.
