If you’re struggling with an unrequited love for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, beware: you will only be more in love with him at the end of this post. It doesn’t seem possible, I know, but he can actually get more charming than he already is. The man is dangerous.
The Rock recently had a second child with his partner Lauren Hashian. Their posts about the birth of Tia Gia Johnson in April were enough to make everyone’s ovaries hurt. Look how cute this is, and weep:
If only there was some way to be a part of The Rock’s family, but I don’t think they will adopt me. I’ve asked several times.
Obviously, The Rock is very in love with his little family, which includes their other daughter Jasmine. Both girls have middle names honoring their great grandmothers, Lia and Giavanna.
Happy Mother’s Day to my main squeeze @laurenhashianofficial, holding my little main squeeze, Jasmine Lia, who’s holding my tiniest main squeeze, Tiana Gia – both our daughter’s middle names are in honor of their great grandmothers, Lia and Giavanna. I’m in constant respect and grateful awe of all the things this incredible mama accomplishes on a daily basis. Here’s a fun small recap: Having a two and half year old and a newborn attached and clinging to her 24/7. Managing the wonderfully fun, Terrible 2’s with Jazzy. The “Hi, I need to eat every 3hrs and preferably from your boob” (just like daddy;) with Baby Tia. Managing multiple family properties. Managing an ever growing staff of family employees across the country. Picking up the ENTIRE FAMILY, STAFF AND DOG and moving to multiple locations AROUND THE WORLD, throughout the year because of my filming and production schedule. All while continuing to build an amazing career as a music and song writer/producer. As an artist and businessman myself, I recognize how incredibly hard this part is of her job is. She’s a brilliant visionary storyteller and lyrically gifted – all qualities that are hard to tap into when you’re managing this nonstop life of ours. But she does it like a brilliant bad ass. And here’s the best part and the thing I’m most proud of… Lauren does it all with a big genuine smile and is truly, the kindest and sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. People tell me all time after they spend time with her, “Lauren’s the nicest person I have ever met”. I always say, “Yes she is and being nice runs in our family… and so does kicking ass, so don’t ever get on her bad side” Lol. And finally – of all the human beings on this earth she could have as her partner – she chose me. One big, brown, bald, tattooed, very lucky SOB. Happy Mama’s Day Lauren. Take a bow and Queen it up – you’re an amazing mama and amazing mama’s make this world go around. #yvpagm x
Family, and especially the women in his life, are extremely important to Johnson’s public philosophy and persona. He often posts about the women in his life who have influenced him, like his grandmother.
In the caption to this #tbt he posted of dancing for his grandmother in 2015, The Rock wrote:
In Samoan culture there’s a very special dance called the “Taualuga” where we, as men honor the women by dancing around them out of love and great respect. On my grandmother’s 80th birthday she danced her Taualuga while I proudly danced around her while she laughed and beamed with pride.
She had the greatest birthday and her smile was from ear to ear. My grandmother, Lia Maivia was a strong willed, highly respected and tough pioneer in the world of pro wrestling, becoming wrestling’s first successful female promoter. But when we hit hard times and my family was evicted, shortly after that my grandmother became homeless.
When I finally could afford it I bought her a place of her very own that she LOVED! I always asked after that, “Grandma are you happy?” To which she’d call me by my Samoan name and say, “Tuifeai I’m so happy.. thank you.. oh and can you please sing that song I like..”
Ha! I’d start singin’ away (off key of course) and she’d laugh and smile from ear to ear. A few months after this picture was taken my grandma passed away peacefully in her sleep. I know we all experience loss and it’s so tough to deal with… but I’m forever grateful for the one of kind life lessons only grandma’s can teach us. Miss you grandma and I hope you hear me cause I’m still quietly singin’ away to you.. Misiga tele ‘oe Grandma, alofa tele atu mo ‘oe.
It seems like he is continuing with the tradition of celebrating and supporting the women in his life. In a post on Monday, The Rock shared an image of himself helping Hashian eat as she breastfed the new baby:
I’ll handle this business 😉💪🏾
Mama @laurenhashianofficial has her hands full nursing/feeding Baby Tia, so I’m feedin’ mama her dinner.
So much respect to her and all mamas out there holding it down and running things.
And people are absolutely loving it:
I love him. That’s all I can say! If all men were like the Rock, we women would be on cloud 9!
He’s an amazing husband and father😊

It’s actually a really nice way to help out, according to actual professionals!
Though no one can be The Rock, some husbands are trying.
