If you thought you shared a special connection with a work colleague, then you haven’t seen anything yet.

Why? Because it would appear that nothing can rival the tight bond shared by the cast of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

Last week the star-studded cast – which includes Hollywood heavyweights such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson and Chris Pratt – were hailed industry icons when Avengers: Infinity War took $1 billion at the box office in its first week of opening.

The superhero extravaganza is one of only 34 films to ever hit the highly-coveted $1 billion figure at the box office. Currently holding 14th place, Infinity War is sitting comfortably behind cult classics such as Titanic, Avatar, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and the 7th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise.

However, it is expected to surpass several of these titles in the coming months, which is good news for Marvel Studios considering that Infinity War is one of the most expensive films ever made.
