Nobody likes a lunch thief, but for those of us who have office jobs, these cold-blooded criminals always lurk among the watercoolers and leftover Tupperware containers. So when Twitter user, Zak Toscani, live-tweeted the reveal of his office’s lunch thief, the internet was captivated.
It all started when a coworker had his shrimp stirfry stolen at work. He reported the incident to HR and they actually let him watch the security footage from the kitchen!
“Co-worker got his lunch stolen and they’ve agreed to let him watch the security camera tape. This is the most excited I’ve ever been at any job ever. Ever,” Zak first tweeted.
This tweet alone received 278,000 likes and 4,300 comments within one day, and he followed it up with 21 more!
Zak reveals that the thief is a female coworker who sits next to him and that she didn’t even eat the food but just threw it in the trash. “Her motives remain completely unknown,” he wrote.
